Classical Drawing Preparatory Course

The Classical Drawing Preparatory course caters to students with aspirations to pursue higher education in fine arts, architecture, interior design, or graphic design at the university or college level. This comprehensive course is strategically designed to equip participants with essential realistic drawing skills, which will be invaluable in preparing their admission portfolios. With a strong emphasis on visual expression, students will delve into the world of drawing as a fundamental and universal language of artistic communication. They will gain a deep understanding of the history of perspective, exploring advanced concepts such as multiple vanishing points, curvilinear, and isometric/axonometric perspective. Alongside these principles, the course covers a wide spectrum of artistic disciplines, including still life, human anatomy (with live models), portraiture, nature studies, architectural drawing on location, and conceptual drawing.

Furthermore, within the Classical Drawing Preparatory course, students will have access to a wide array of traditional and contemporary drawing mediums, allowing them to experiment and refine their skills. Experienced instructors will provide valuable insights into the artistic traditions that underpin the course, offering guidance on how to integrate time-honored techniques with modern artistic practices. Classical Drawing Course

The Classical Drawing course is designed for individuals seeking to develop proficient and realistic drawing abilities. This course aims to introduce participants to a comprehensive range of classical drawing techniques, including various perspectives (one-two-three point, multiple vanishing points, and isometric/axonometric perspective), still life, live model-based human anatomy studies, portraiture, and on-site architectural drawing.

Moreover, as part of the Classical Drawing course, students will have the opportunity to explore diverse drawing mediums, from graphite and charcoal to ink and pastels. Guided by experienced instructors, participants will delve into the rich history of classical art and drawing, gaining insights into the techniques and principles employed by master artists of the past. This immersive learning experience is designed to not only enhance technical skills but also foster a deep appreciation for the art of classical drawing, allowing students to express their creativity with precision and authenticity. Whether you are a novice or an experienced artist looking to refine your craft, this course provides a solid foundation for honing your drawing skills and unleashing your artistic potential.

Drawing Mastery Course: Studio and Plein Air Sessions

Are you passionate about enhancing your drawing skills? Our comprehensive course is tailored to individuals committed to elevating their drawing proficiency. The program encompasses a dynamic blend of in-studio and plein air (“in the open air”) sessions, offering a rich and diverse learning experience. Whether you’re drawn to museum environments, cityscapes, or the tranquility of natural parks, our “in situ” sessions are designed to inspire and guide your artistic journey.

Our studio sessions provide a structured foundation for participants, offering expert instruction on commencing and mastering the art of architectural drawing, still life compositions, life models, and portraiture. What sets our course apart is its flexibility—the subjects of each session are finely tuned to align with the unique interests and aspirations of the group participants, allowing for a personalized and enriching drawing practice.

To ensure a conducive learning environment, our groups are intentionally kept small, ranging from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 individuals. The course spans seven sessions, each lasting three hours, with a total cost of $300,- per person (plus tax).

Our inaugural session commences on Saturday, October 6th, from noon to 3 PM, right in the heart of my studio. Your artistic journey begins here.
